How can I download International GunZ?
Hover your mouse over Download at the top of the iGunZ.net website, from here you can choose multiple mirrors to download the game. You can download the portable ZIP if you don't want or can't use the installer. Simply unzip the archive with a tool like 7zip. Updates will be delivered through the 'Launcher.exe' which will download updated files if necessary.
I have issues with installing International GunZ!
'Error writing to file:' when installing
Verify that you have read/write access to the directory you're installing to and your anti-virus isn't blocking the installer. This is usually related to anti virus software blocking the installer however. Add the installer to your exclusions in your anti virus software or use the 'Portable ZIP' download.
'Called RunScript when not marked in progress.' error when installing.
This error is usually caused by not having the correct permissions for the %temp% folder in Windows but can be caused by a much wider variety of issues. Therefore we recommend simply using the 'Portable ZIP Google Drive' download link available on the homepage of igunz.net.
Then you will be able to extract the .zip archive using 7zip and run the 'Launcher.exe' to update and play the game.
I have issues with launching International GunZ!
Upon launching International GunZ you're met with a 'The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll/MSVCP140.dll was not found.' error code.
Download and extract Visual C++ Redistributable All-in-One archive file. Then right-click install_all.bat and then click 'Run as administrator'. After it's done, you're free to delete the files.
When launching the game you're met with a 'The code execution cannot proceed because XINPUT1_3.dll was not found.'
Download and extract 'DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)'. Install using the DXSETUP.exe. Now you will have the necessary file(s).
The game attempts to launch but displays a black screen/seems to get minimized. PS GameGuard might load as intended.
Download the 'config.xml' file and replace it with the one present in the %userprofile%DocumentsInternational GunZ folder. You can paste that directory in Windows Explorer or simply head to your 'Documents' and navigate to the 'International GunZ' folder that way.
The game is telling me that DirectX 9.0c is required to run properly, but disappears when clicking 'Yes' to install.
Make sure GunZ.exe and Launcher.exe are included in your whitelist/exclusions of your anti-virus software. This issue is especially common if you have Bitdefender as your anti-virus. If you've tried launching the game while the executables were allowed through your anti-virus and the same error occurs, run the launcher.exe first to verify if the game is up to date. Afterward, set GunZ.exe to run with 'Windows 7' compatibility mode.
To do this, right-click GunZ.exe, click properties, and navigate to the 'Compatibility' tab. Check the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select 'Windows 7' from the drop-down menu.
Register & Login
I've questions or issues in regards to account registration!
How do I register?
You register on the login screen in-game. A 'Register' button is present just above the 'Login' button.
I'm getting one of the following errors: 'Couldn't find server to register on', 'Account creation failed: Server ran out of memory' when trying to register.
The server is either down or is currently facing issues. Try again at a later date. Our Discord server is a good place to stay informed in regards to updates and overall server stability.
I cannot login to the server!
I'm getting a 'Cannot access server.' when attempting to log in!
Allow 'GunZ.exe' through your firewall. If you've done this and rebooted the game to test and it's still not working, run GunZ by launching from the 'GunZ.exe' executable directly. Also make sure that your International GunZ client is up to date!
The server isn't showing up in the log in screen!
Please verify that 'GunZ.exe' is allowed through your firewall. If after verifying that it is allowed, and you still cannot see it, there is a chance the server may currently be offline. Check on our discord server in the #notice channel to be able to see any information we may have shared about the current server status.
When trying to log in a message is displayed telling me my game is not up to date and to run the launcher. But there is no launcher to be found.
Very likely an issue with an anti-virus deleting files. You can either check if you can restore and allow the 'Launcher.exe' file in your anti-virus software or turn off the real-time protection of your anti-virus software and download the Launcher.exe' file. Place it at the root of your International GunZ installation and add that directory to your anti-virus whitelist.
I've forgotten my International GunZ password!
You can reset your password by visiting our Discord and typing .password in the #help channel. You'll be required to provide basic information like username, the email address you signed up with and character name(s), if present.
Alternatively, you can make a new account. Levels and in-game currency (bounty) do not provide you with any sort of advantage and all cosmetics besides event items and quest items are freely obtainable through the in-game store.
Settings & Controls
My character is spinning/aim is turning by itself.
Head to the options menu by clicking the button on the upper right corner of the screen when in the lobby. Open the Keyboard tab on the left and after that navigate to the 'Controller' tab. Set your controller sensitivity all the way to the left.
If this doesn't work, exit the game and disconnect any controllers that you have currently plugged into your PC and then open International GunZ again.
My settings won't save when I exit the game.
This is caused by 'Controlled Folder Access' being enabled in Windows Defender. Either disable it through the settings menu in Windows Security or download and save the 'SaveSettingsFix.ps1' file. Then right click the file and click 'Run with Powershell'. Then reboot your PC.
I want to set TAB as a keybind, but it doesn't work!
This is a known bug. A temporary workaround is to open up your 'config.xml' with a text editor like Notepad in the '%userprofile%DocumentsInternational GunZ' directory. A list of all the keybinds will be displayed. Whichever action you want to be set to 'TAB' set the key number to '15.'

I got questions regarding verification in Discord!
What benefits do I get from verifying?
When you're verified you get access to more channels in Discord and there are extra conveniences like allowing emoji's from other servers through Nitro and using your Discord avatar in-game. Yamaha yl1 manual. The purple color in Discord will also carry over to International GunZ.
How do I verify?
In order to verify in-game the first step is to type '/discord' in any lobby in GunZ. A random 6 character length code will display. After that, message the 'IGunZ Bot' through a direct message. Send '!verify ' to the bot and it will respond back with a confirmation that your Discord has been successfully linked.
I'm unable to message the IGunZ Bot!
Make sure to 'Allow direct messages from server members' through the server it's 'Privacy Settings' menu. You do this by right clicking the International GunZ server icon and selecting 'Private Settings'. Then toggle the option on. Now message the bot with your verification code.
Someone is cheating or exploiting! How do I report?
As of right now, the only way to report someone is to join Discord and type .report in the '#report'channel.
How do I voice mute players ingame?
You can mute any player by typing '/mute ' in chat (case sensitive). The alternative is to completely disable voice chat altogether by going into the options menu and clicking on the 'Audio' tab. Then unchecking the 'Enable Voice Chat' option.
In this section, we're going to define the relationship of client, server, and host computers according to your home network environment. We'll also discuss the roles of these computers in regard to their responsibilities. When it comes to the client/server model, the possibilities are endless. In fact, client/server architecture is what makes the Internet possible.
Keep in mind that this is designed to give you a basic understanding of the client/server model according to your LAN (everything behind your router). It is far beyond the scope of this section to create an exhaustive resource for client/server architecture (such as website servers). However, the primary principals are identical. A server is still a server, and a client is still a client.
What is a Client?
A client is a computer hardware device or software that accesses a service made available by a server. The server is often (but not always) located on a separate physical computer.
What is a Server?
A server is a physical computer dedicated to run services to serve the needs of other computers. Depending on the service that is running, it could be a file server, database server, home media server, print server, or web server.
What is a Host?
A host is a computer, connected to other computers for which it provides data or services over a network. In theory, every computer connected to a network acts as a host to other peers on the network. In essence, a host reflects the logical relationship of two or more computers on a network.
To simplify this, suppose you want to download an image from another computer on your network. That computer is 'hosting' the image and therefore, it is the host computer. On the other hand, if that same computer downloads an image from your computer, your computer becomes the host computer.
Your computer can be a host to other computers. Likewise, your router can be a host to other routers. But a host must have an assigned IP address. Therefore, modems, hubs, and switches are not considered hosts because they do not have assigned IP addresses.
How do I access a server?
A server can be located inside or outside of your LAN. Accessibility to the server is determined by whether or not it has a public IP address or private IP address. If the server has a public IP address, it can be accessed from the web. If it has a private IP address, it can only be accessed from inside of your LAN (unless you setup port forwarding for remote access).
The speed at which a client can retrieve data from a server is dependent on the amount of bandwidth required to transfer the data. If the server is on your LAN, your router will determine how quickly data is transferred from a server to the client. So if you have a good quality router, these days, that speed can be rather impressive.
This same logic applies to servers in your WAN (on the Internet). When you visit a web page, there are a number of things that determine how quickly the page loads:
- The speed of the server hosting that website
- How large the web page is (images, etc).
- How much bandwidth your ISP has allowed you
- How quickly your router can route data packets
- The speed of the Network Interface Controller on your computer.
So, bandwidth and latency play a huge role in the performance you experience between clients and servers.
Gunz Server And Client Files
What is the difference between a server and a host?
Client/Server architecture works much differently from file sharing technology such as Homegroup and Workgroup used by the Windows operating system.
A server:
- Can be a physical device or software program
- Installed on a host computer
- Provides specific services
- Serves only clients
A host:
- Is always a physical computer or device
- Can run both server and client programs
- Provides specific services
- Serves multiple users and devices
Gunz Server And Client Files Download
In a Windows Workgroup environment computers within the network merely access public folders on other computers. This scenario is common in home networks where one computer with a lot of hard drive space may host the media files for other computers to access.
Gunz Server And Client Files Free
With Windows Workgroup, there is no special server software running other than the operating system itself. Yes, the computer is still hosting the files and making them available to other computers; although, technically it is still not a server. In this scenario, it is considered a host. Why? Because one of the prerequisites of being a server is that it serves only clients.
The benefit of using Windows Workgroup is that you can easily access files and media on other computers within your LAN. The downside is that your files are not accessible from outside of your local network. If you want to access your files from outside of your LAN, you'll need a server running on a host machine to pull it off.
Thankfully, a desktop computer with a static IP address can also function as a server. The following diagram is a depiction of this dual-purpose configuration.
Host Computer
In the previous illustration, the workstation computer is a client within the LAN. However, it is also a server. It's running media server software which allows clients to access media files stored in a database. The server software queries the database and serves the media to the client computers.
In order for client devices to retrieve information from a host computer that is running server software, the client needs to know the hostname of the computer that is serving the data.
What is a hostname and host ID?
- The hostname is the name of the computer.
- The host ID is the physical address (the MAC address of the Network Interface Controller).
How do I find the hostname and Host ID of a computer?
If you are running windows 7:
- Click ‘Start'
- Type ‘cmd' into the search bar
- When the cmd prompt opens, type 'ipconfig /all' (without the quotes)
- Hit Enter on your keyboard
How do I access host computers on my network?
In Windows 7 you can reach host computers by clicking the hostname in the navigation pane, or by typing the private IP address.
NAS Server
In the example above, I'm accessing my Network Attached Storage (NAS) server which holds files and media that can be accessed from any computer within my LAN. In the example below, I'm able to achieve the same thing using the private IP address.
If you are trying to reach a specific folder on a network device, you'll need to enter the full path to the folder. For example:
SERVERShare . . .will take you to the top level folder
SERVERShareVideos . . .will take you directly to the videos folder.
or, . . .
192.168.88.2Share
192.168.88.2ShareVideos
If the server is not assigned a static IP address, the address could change the next time the server is restarted. This is yet another reason for assigning static IP addresses and then associating those IP's with a computers hostname. This way, you can use the method above to quickly locate machines by using their hostname.
Also when accessing a host computer, you may be prompted for a username and password. Therefore, you'll need to know the login credentials for a user on that machine.
Remote Access
If you prefer not to manually enter this each time you access a network device, simply select the checkbox in the login window to remember your login credentials.
